About the GEGD Week

GEGD Partners

The GEGD Week will be held from 25th to 31st January 2026 at various locations across Accra including the State House, Independence Square and Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research – Food Research Institute, under the planning and management of the GEGD Week Commission made up of the Ghana Fund and GEGD Week Partners.


The GEGD Week, after its maiden event, will be an annual event that will be celebrated every fourth week of January. Each GEGD Week will provide platforms for developing key sectors of Ghana’s economy with emphasis on:


Economic Growth:


  • Industrial Development;
  • Urban Re-Development and Tourism; and
  • Transportation.

Economic Development:


  • Healthcare Access and Innovation;
  • Wholesale Employment Solutions;
  • Social Protection, Advancement and Cohesion; and
  • Enhanced Living Standards Engagements.

The GEGD Week deviates from being a talk-show to impact action for measurable economic impact and the long-term contribution to Ghana’s Gross National Income.


Events during the GEGD Week will include:
